The purpose of the board is to advise and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors and the Director of Library Services concerning policies and procedures for operation of the county free library system. The board also works with the library administration in putting on informative all-Friends workshops. LAB regularly meets at 10 a.m. on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months in varying locations around the county. All meetings are open to the public.
